Please read the history bottom-up. Note that the history might list some
features that were implemented in beta versions and removed later but are
still mentioned here. This history is a log of the programmer so that he
can look up what has been done/tried/modified. Things that were implemented
and removed later are marked with [VOID].

Version 1.1 (31-May-26)
- Change: Updated documentation
- New: Version string in the binary contains the precise CPU architecture specification now, for example
  "x64-linux" instead of just "Linux"
- New [Linux]: Added build for the Linux arm64 platform
- New [macOS]: Added build for macOS arm64 (Apple Silicon)
- Change: Amiga installer will now also copy the plugins for all platforms to the linker plugins directory
so that they can be easily linked to executables
- Change [iOS]: Added arm64 build for the iOS simulator and removed x86 build for the iOS simulator because
the iOS simulator is no longer compatible with x86
- Change [Android]: Removed build for 32-bit softfloat ARM; nobody uses this any longer these days
- New: It's now possible to query the #ATTRFORMAT attribute for files opened using OpenFile() as well as
directories opened using OpenDirectory(); this will return the name of the XAD client used to open the
file or directory, e.g. "LhA", "LZX", or "RAR"; this feature requires Hollywood 10 or better
- New: When opening a file that is stored inside a password-protected archive using standard Hollywood
functions like LoadSample(), LoadBrush(), OpenMusic(), OpenFile() etc. it's now possible to set a
"Password" tag in the "UserTags" table argument to specify the password that should be used to decrypt
  the file; this allows you to open files directly from password-protected archives without any detour;
this feature requires Hollywood 10 or better (requested by Juan Carlos Herran Martin)
- Fix: Paths returned by the plugin's directory and file adapter didn't include the path to the archive
file itself but were relative to the directory tree stored in the archive
- Fix: BZIP2 files could only be decompressed through xad.ExtractFile() but not through the plugin's file
  and directory adapter
- New: Since decompressors like GZIP or BZIP2 reported the name of the compressed file as unnamed.dat the
plugin will now adapt that into something more meaningful so that the contents of e.g. test.tar.gz will
be reported as test.tar instead of "unnamed.dat"; you can disable this automatic adaptation by setting
the new "NoMap" tag to TRUE in @REQUIRE; in that case, the plugin will report filenames exactly as
returned by xadmaster (requested by Petteri Valli)
- New: Added support for Hollywood 9.0's new ability to query the attributes of a directory handled
by a directory adapter; this will allow the XAD plugin to set directory date stamps correctly when
extracting files from an archive using Hollywood's CopyFile() function; note, however, that directories
are often not stored as individual entries in archives; in that case, the directory date will be set
to the current date and time because no other directory date information is available (reported by
  Petteri Valli)
- Fix: Fixed several issues related to charset conversions (reported by Petteri Valli)
- Fix [Non-Amiga]: Not all characters from files stored in ZIP archives were converted correctly from
CP-437 to ISO 8859-1; note that the Amiga version might still have problems with non-ASCII characters
because the XAD ZIP client on Amiga platforms still has this bug but this is nothing I can fix; it
needs to be fixed in the XAD ZIP client that is distributed with xadmaster.library on Amiga
- Fix [Non-Amiga]: LZX archives couldn't be unpacked correctly
- Fix [Non-Amiga]: Some RAR files crashed the plugin (reported by Petteri Valli)
- New: Added support for Hollywood 8.0's RewindDirectory() function
- Fix [Non-Amiga]: FileSize() and Exists() didn't work correctly on files within archives
- Fix: Backslash instead of slash wasn't handled correctly
- Fix: Relative paths using ".." didn't work correctly
